![]() I’ve found that to go paperless, I needed something to write on and annotate (iPad and Apple Pencil), something to scan physical documents (proper scanner or app on your iPhone, look for OCR to recognize text content in your document), and something to automate partly the sorting (Hazel, on mac). After that, I provide myself with all the apps and hardware I needed to go paperless indefinitely. As of today, I have about 10 documents that I kept the physical copy. Every document that I knew I wouldn’t by any chance needed a physical copy was going to the shredder. ![]() I kept the physical copy of only the most important documents. This was by far the longest step, but I did it gradually. I labeled them the exact same way as mentioned in step 2, and sort them in the directory. From there I used a scanning app (Swiftscan) and started to scan my physical documents.I used iCloud but you can use whatever cloud service or local storage you prefer. I created the directory on my cloud service.Note that your directory will evolve with time, it’s not necessary to do a completely exhaustive listing at the beginning. All my documents are labeled 0000_YYYY-MM-DD_Name of the file. The categories would be defined by a 4 digits number (with the sub categories defined by the three last digits), followed by date. From there, I tried to create a coherent and as exhaustive as possible directory.I took all my physical documents and organized them in stacks, trying to identify the big categories and sub categories to organize my documents. So I did the transfer to a paperless office and home last year. My stuff is synced to iCloud but that is not a backup. At least one must be offsite (I use BackBlaze). It needs to have multiple backups with versioning. ![]() Last but not least, make sure you have a rock solid backup strategy.

Lastly, if a low amperage, gfp breaker does not exist and using the higher amperage breaker in series is a bad idea, how am I to construct a system that complies with the NEC guidelines? thanks in advance for any feedback. Does that make sense or is it a bad idea to use such a breaker in series with a the 20A breaker? If no such breaker exists, would it be acceptable to use Midnite's breaker? my thinking is that since the breakers will be in series, for any overcurrent issue the 20A breaker will trip and if there is a ground fault issue, the GFP breaker on the negative/ground side will trip itself along with its coupled 63A breaker. Does anyone know of anyone that sells a 20A/0.5A GFP? You typically find these outlets in kitchens and bathrooms, but also near pools and anywhere else where electricity is used near water. These devices are designed to prevent shock in the event an electrical device comes in contact with water. The smallest I could find is a Midnite brand 63A (+ side)/ 0.5A (neg./ground side). A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) is a specialized outlet with a built-in breaker. The problem I'm running into is that after an extensive google search, I can find no GFP breaker this small. My understanding is that the GFP and standard breaker should be of the same amperage. In keeping with NEC guidelines I'm intending to install both a standard 20A breaker and GFP (ground fault protection) breaker in series between the panels and controller. ![]() I have not seen a GFPE breaker, and only circulating hot water de-icing systems.I have a very small system I'm building (off grid solar) that will only need a 20A breaker between the panels and MPPT charge controller. Reading that, IMHO it sounds like the GFPE is supplied as part of the de-icing equipment, to protect the equipment only, not the feeder. Are GE and BR breakers the only ones that currently have removed. It is important to understand that this required equipment protection is not the same as a GFCI used for personal protection that trips at 5 mA (± 1 mA)." ![]() These protection devices, if applied properly, will substantially reduce the risk of a fire being started by low-level electrical arcing. If money is an issue and you only need to protect a single location, a GFCI outlet might a better choice than a GFCI breaker. A GFCI breaker might cost you 40 or 50, versus 4 to 6 for a standard breaker. ![]() This could work out well if really all you need to protect is one location only. Cost can also be a factor in the decision. Clearly, if money is an issue, then you should consider a GFCI outlet. A GFCI receptacle’s price is somewhere around 15. This required protection for fixed outdoor deicing and snow-melting equipment may be accomplished by using circuit breakers equipped with ground-fault equipment protection (GFEP) or an integral device supplied as part of the deicing or snow-melting equipment that is sensitive to leakage currents in the magnitude of 6 mA to 50 mA. A GFCI breaker might cost you 40 or 50, versus a standard version breaker which costs 4 to 6. This affords the manufacturer and the user an option of providing both circuit and equipment protection or just the required equipment protection. Rather than protecting the entire branch circuit, the ground-fault protection requirement is focused on protecting just the equipment itself. Are GE and BR breakers the only ones that currently have removed. "Section 426.28 requires ground-fault protection of equipment for fixed outdoor electric deicing and snow-melting equipment. ![]() 10 Phenelzine is more typically sedating and is less frequently associated with complaints of insomnia. In polysomnographic studies, tranylcypromine has been demonstrated to prolong sleep onset latency and increase awakenings and arousals during sleep. Tranylcypromine is structurally related to amphetamine and tends to be activating and associated with insomnia. 8While the MAOIs have demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of depression in general, they especially have been associated with efficacy in the treatment of atypical depression characterized by hypersomnolence as well as by apathy and low energy. These agents increase concentrations of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin by decreasing their metabolism. Pulmonary specialists sometimes advocate use of an activating TCA such as protriptyline because it may help suppress REM sleep-when sleep apnea episodes may be accentuated-and also provide benefit for the daytime somnolence that many patients with sleep apnea experience. 1,6 A clinical consequence of REM suppression can be a change in frequency and intensity of dreaming, as well as a pronounced exacerbation of intense, disturbing dreams related to “REM rebound” on discontinuation. The majority of TCAs markedly suppress REM sleep, except for trimipramine, trazodone, nefazodone, bupropion, and mirtazapine. 5 These findings underscore the important lesson that treatment with an antidepressant does not automatically result in improvement in sleep in depressed patients. 3 In polysomnographic studies of patients with depression, administration of the activating TCA desipramine has been reported to produce an increase in sleep onset latency, a decrease in sleep efficiency, and a heightened number of awakenings. Examples of TCAs in this category include desipramine and protriptyline, agents that are characterized by the selective blockade of norepinephrine presynaptic uptake sites. Some TCAs are more activating and have been used to treat a subset of depressed patients who experience hypersomnolence and daytime lethargy. 4 Doxepin is now marketed in the US as Silenor, in 3- and 6-mg dose strengths for primary insomnia.Īntidepressants and their effects on sleep physiology ![]() The studies demonstrate the efficacy of low-dosage doxepin therapy (3 and 6 mg qhs) for alleviating symptoms of insomnia. 3 Doxepin has been studied at very low dosages in patients with primary insomnia. Pharmacologically, the TCAs noted for their sleep-enhancing effects are more potent in blocking the serotonin transporter than the norepinephrine transporter, in addition to exerting prominent blockade of histamine H 1 receptors. In recent years, clinicians have scaled down the dosages of these antidepressants to well below established ranges to treat insomnia symptoms. TCAs such as amitriptyline and doxepin are used in depressed patients who have prominent insomnia. Pharmacological differences among TCAs translate into clinically differentiating features. 2 A number of antidepressants affect other neurotransmitter receptors, such as muscarinic ACh, α 1-adrenergic, and histamine H 1receptors, that are implicated in sleep regulation. 1 In particular, norepinephrine and serotonin play prominent roles in suppressing REM sleep, while acetylcholine (ACh) plays a key role in the initiation of REM sleep. It is thought that all approved antidepressants work through modulation of monoamine neurotransmitters, including norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin, all of which have been shown to exert prominent effects in regulating sleep-wakefulness and sleep architecture ( Table). The antidepressants are a prototypical example of the potentially complex interactions between psychiatric medications and sleep. In addition to resolving sleep-related symptoms through their primary therapeutic effects, many psychiatric medications have secondary effects on sleep that can contribute to their overall therapeutic benefit or sometimes counter them through adverse effects. ![]() Many psychiatric disorders are accompanied by disturbance of sleep. Max is portrayed as a supremely struggling man who's not only addicted to painkillers (the game's first-aid mechanic, of course) but booze, as well. The game ends up thrilling, but unless one is a real sociopath, rarely moving. These improvements aside, the core remains the same: lots and lots of shooting crooks, with effective use of Bullet Time mechanics as the key to survival. There's also now an occasional slow-motion kill-cam that allows players to revel in the surgical powers of their dual handguns. Though we've experienced these sorts of moments in gaming now for some time, it still excites here-especially since Rockstar has peppered in a dozen "climax" moments involving mandatory slowdown showdowns with a half-dozen crooks, usually while Max is somehow flying through the air via some random mechanism. When its Matrix-inspired action moments give the player a slow-motion ballet of bullets and bad guy collisions, it can be exceptionally thrilling. All of this slickness, however, can't distract from how the game stands at odds with its own presentation. It's an impressively produced package, make no mistake, and it's sure to wow most shooter fans. This time, however, Rockstar has upped the ante and given the game its de rigueur treatment: the still-thrilling mechanics are all wrapped up in a heavily cinematic skin of wall-to-wall cut-scenes, narration, and enough adult content to choke Disneyland. Players take control of the titular anti-hero as he drinks, shoots, waxes poetic, drinks, goes into Bullet Time (copyright), drinks, does a Shootdodge (trademark ), waxes poetic again, and drinks some more. Introducing a medication reminder app was found to improve medication adherence among those who are taking medication for coronary heart disease in a study that reviewed how effective medication reminder apps are. A medication reminder app means you can clear your mind of needing to mentally remind yourself and will let you know when you need to take your medication and how much with an alarm or notification. Tracking so many things every day can be stressful, and missing your medication can make it feel even more overwhelming. Applying digital reminders, notifications about missed doses and helping you stay on top of your medication it's an easy way to manage your medication schedule. However, there are new methods to overcome these hurdles in remembering to take your pills. While many of these methods work for some people, there is a lot of room for missed doses, skipped pills and the side effects of not practising medication adherence. While many rely on manual methods of remembering their pills, others use alarms they need to set themselves in their phone, some people may incorporate automatic pill dispensers into their routine to remind them to take their pills and some may just try to keep track of their medications mentally.
